2020 was a year that radicalized me, making me think in new ways about the function of community, our capacity to give and receive care with each other, and how I show up in all of that.
In January 2021, I got involved with Hawai‘i People's Fund, and in the midst of a global pandemic I found myself experiencing abundance and the power of people coming together to a degree that I never had before in my life.
What Hawai‘i People's Fund offers to anyone who lives and loves Hawai‘i is real hope for transformation, and endless opportunities to take bold action for change. What is life for if not to give more of ourselves to the things we love, with hope for a different future?
Through HPF I've gained comrades who live their lives from a similar charge for social justice and transformation. It can be hard to connect with like-minded allies in the world sometimes, but we find each other by taking action.
HPF consistently supports grassroots organizations that I am in awe of and deeply honored to be in community with. If you're looking for a way to lovingly give more of yourself to a brighter future for Hawai‘i, this is your chance to act.
